Apparently, this could revolutionize the way users receive information. It seems to have all the capabilities of a computer, but with a little more convenience and a smaller price tag. And knowing Apple, a smaller price tag doesn’t necessarily mean a sacrifice in performance or features.
Of course you can still use this for listening to music and watching movies, but when coupled with Apple’s new iBookstore, this device could change the way students access texts books and learn in school.

Alright, so the iPad actually doesn’t come close to a computer, however, it’s not a device that I wanted to support the Adobe Suite or video editing. And why would you expect that from something that costs less than $1000?
I only need something portable that allows me to deal with the organizational side of video production, and the iPad allows for that when coupled with iWork. I know I could get a laptop, but I don’t need one because I already have a Mac Pro and the iPad is smaller (and I’d bet lighter) than a laptop. So why spend more than I need to?
